Claude Session Monitor

I built the usage meter Claude buried in Settings.

Claude Max is my daily driver… design systems, code reviews, prototyping, production work. Anthropic does show usage, but it’s three clicks deep in Settings. No glanceable meter. No warning before you hit the wall.

I decided to fix it. By digging into DevTools, I located the usage payload within the API responses. Over the weekend, I built a menu bar widget that keeps the essentials. Session percentage, weekly allowance, and rate limit countdowns. One glance away.

Friday night to daily driver by Monday.

👇 Full write-up coming. Try the sandbox below while I put it together. (Built in Claude as well.)

Key Features

  • Glanceable Monitoring: A persistent menu bar widget showing your session percentage and rate limit countdown. Always one glance away.

  • Smart Thresholds: Push notifications at 75%, 80%, and 90% so you can pace your output before the wall hits.

  • Deep Integration: Real-time data pulled directly from your active session, including weekly allowance tracking.
